I know the 8280 is worth more than average... The 8250 is prepared to support music module and fm-pac etc... (I heard they don't standard)

Dunno, say something, I'll see if I wanna miss them for that money

I think the volume of FM-PAC vs SCC vs PSG was corrected. Dunno what the Muziekmodule's got to do with it

To elaborate: originally, on the 8250/8255 the sound of the FM-PAC and SCC was so loud that you couldn't hear the PSG anymore, so they had to be modified to restore the balance. In my experience, the Music Module always had a very low sound output and it was much better to connect it to your stereo using the connectors on the side.

Muziekmodule @ standard nms8250 sounds like crap. Some alteration of the box should fix it. Hey, I never heard any difference. But many people had their MSX'es fixed for this problem, so well just go with it and say there was a problem mmkay?

pvanthienen, what is your problem exacly ?? and what have you already checked ??

Youve got probably the same problem i had, the only solution i found was in the news letters from msx club west friesland.
The solution was to place a resistor at cardridge sound pin (pin 49).
(2k2 i believe, got to check that)

If your psg sounds normal without scc then this the solution. (well here it was)

If it doesn't you have to check if R428&R429 are 100uF elco's.
