Dear All,
I'am looking for Konami game soundtracks.
Does anybody know where I can find/order those, or download mp3's of them?
Thanks!
Kind regards,
ron

I have them all, but I don't run a server or anything. I have no problem uploading them somewhere but in that case you should install an FTP or something on your computer...and get a decent connection.
And Ro, I think he is talking about the official soundtrack CD's, not KSS |

I never heard a good gamesoundtrack (based on msx games) yet, well, except those orchestral nemesis1/2/3 recordings, but they're more like stand-alone improvisations, rather than 'real' soundtracks.

Well Wolf_ a real soundtrack would be the original in-game recordings, in which both the Space Manbow soundtrack as Snatcher: Joint Disk are excellent. I was always more interested in the Arranged soundtracks like Zoom Tracks or the Gradius in Classic albums you mentioned. And no good ones? You can't argue about taste of course but the Parodius arranged albums, the Dracula X album and of course nearly all of the Falcom CD's are great!

yeah, ofcoz I was referring to arranged versions, doh
If you refer to that falcomcd with DS6 (with that funk-style village tune), well.. the taste-thing indeed, but I find the difference between original and arranged (on hi-end equipment) rather small.
By far the best re-arranged msx-tune has to be that gradius thing.. and perhaps that ys piece as well, tho the ys-arranged version could have been orchestrated way better than it is now.
"For XXX sake, is this all you can do?" is a phrase which slips in my mind regulary when I listen to those arranged versions.. esp, since they were often done in-house (JDK/Falcom etc.).. |

Well there are over 50 different Arrangement CD's from Ys alone, I must admit the orchestral versions are not amongst my favorites either (they are a bit bland) but the Perfect Collections and Heaven's Shrine 1, 3 and 4 are magnificent synthesized and rock versions, absolutely not comparable to the original MSX versions.
Oh and RonMSX if you like to order some originals: www.gamemusic.com has several good Konami albums, although i doubt you will find any MSX-specific soundtracks anymore, they are just too old. eBay is another option. |

That's what makes JDK quite unique...a lot of Ys stuff that has been rearranged rely heavily on drums and electric guitars, including the soundtrack of the "Eternal" remakes. It's cleary distinct from other japanese RPGs who are more orchestral orientated. |

I was indeed not talking about the KSS.
But cd's like:
Snatcher & SD Snatcher perfect selection
Snatcher Zoom Tracks
Metal Gear >> Solid Snake
I currently only own the original Konami music cd from Space Manbow.
For Internet I have a ADSL connection, so I asume that is fast enough for FTP.
