You mean GFX9000 can output native VGA frequencies?

yeah, but using a cristal different than for TV sets...

changing the cristal makes that the vdp works with others screens modes

and not the thoughts to be used in msx

It's exciting, yes... However, from the people that work with Padial, I hear he doesn't listen to their ideas at all, and they are good programmers with good ideas.

Also, does this mean the Z380 project is dead? Are my LPE-Z380 and EV4 a dead-end and virtually useless?

There's still no documentation available on how to program the EV4 (DMA etc) and the there is no information on details like, how does the LPE-Z380 <-> MSX interrupt mechanism work?!

I'm afraid that until Padial shows he can do more than produce some hardware, I have to take a wait-and-see approach to his work... :/

I think Z380 is a dead end, since Zilog isn't making them any more and it cost more then a full TurboR ST system. eZ80 is still alive and kicking. It's a good direction.

I don't think that Evolution 4 is a dead hardware. It's a great slot expander, and it could serve as a motherboard for a cool all new EMSX2+ system, if you'll buy Z80 or eZ80 CPU boards for it.

i hope that the email letter has not all the improvements...

what loss of time, changing the page size!

no one OS will support that because that not reduce any bottle neck

increasing more than 16k is a wasted of RAM in the handling of the memory... overall in multitask OS..

on other hand i'm happy about that will be release with 1MB atleast.

but I HOPE that those "improvements" are not all.
