... forget it. It has original TMS9918 VDP, so it's better if I'll keep at as is - original MSX-1

Although the instructions suggest otherwise, they only apply to the CX5M/II, AFAI can tell. The CX5M/II *does* have an 9938 VDP and 128K memory mapper, and only lacks the proper amount of VRAM (16K iso 128K) and the clock chip to make it a real MSX2.

I'm still curious if I can add RGB out on this computer. For some reasons composite out is pretty bad: white letters have pinky-bluish halo around them...

No, my Yamaha doesn't have 9938, so it doesn't make much sence. I might add RAM from 32K to 64K and add RGB out, but that is all.

I'm allmost sure that Repair-bas can convert this machine to a msx2, ask him. |
