Universal Rom Loader -- URL - haha (just a joke)

Hadn't notice that one yet. Would be a nice name for it though.

As I (may) have thought up some nice solutions, the following features will most likely be implemented in the next release:

• Redirect boot code to a hotkey test to disable software boot
• Double cartridge entry without the need of a second Sound Cartridge
• Support for BASIC in ROM. Unfortunately, the work-around I provided earlier doesn't work. Though there is something weird with this type of support, even though it is supported
• Page 0 ROM's support. This will require RAM in page 0

pff! there was already a software with this name (URL)
it is a frontend for loading ROMs, supporting all types of DOS emulators
runs in DOS, of course :-)

I made a frontend for DOS based emulators as well. Even though the name may think otherwise (fMSXMenu) it can be used for about every command line based emulators. It's probably more versatile then that particular frontend.

And this URL would be running on MSX, not on PC, if I ever decide to use the name.

well why you dont develop a new cardridge with 512KB inside +SCC (notting beats the real SCC) if possible
that would be a good one

or what about a compact flash rom cartridge that can do the with all msx roms ever build with a nice menu ???

I'm definately not a hardware freak, so upgrading to 512 KB inside a Sound Cartridge is out of the question if you're waiting for me to do it.

If you have read the previous posts in this thread the following might read familiar:

• In a previous post I wrote the following: Another option I was thinking of indeed... Add support to flash images to ROM. Would've been added in v2 as well though. It would result in one complete ROM image loading tool for several of these cartridges.
• In the initial post something like a menu was already requested on which I replied as well:
  Add some visual mode to launch a WIDTH 40 with a simple disk browser with settings to launch it.
  I actually have been thinking about this, but for version 2. I don't see it as a significant part of the program to implement it in a hurry.

In short: both these requests are already noted, taken into consideration and even added in a later version (most likely v2 or later). Don't hessitate to request other features (preferably not already mentioned). I want to make it a very complete system. If you wish something different, please explain. I may have read it incorrectly then.

What about MegaFlashROM SCC?

Of course I'm willing to add support for that one as well, though I'm not going to offer one of my SCC's just for that. I'll probably need beta-testers for it when support is added. Need to get sufficient info on flashing that one first anyway.

or an USB cardridge with 512kb of memmory and an scc if the cardridge is filled with a game put it in your real msx and play
