Ok, my Laserdisc collection grows rapidly. I have also purchased this:

Now I'm looking for a Laserdisc player. I once saw a site where all compatible players where listed. I can however not find it any longer. Can anyone please tell me?

I also have two complete Astron Belt for trade.

Thanks

C

dimmuborgir, laserdisc equipment is very expensive, and no one yet built some sort of ATAPI CDROM + MPEG decoder hardware to full laser disc games with inexpensive hardware, so it's not popular

Your chases are probably better in forums like Videogame Rebirth or something like this...

But laserdisc equipment is COOL! I've seen a Sony G900-AP (1MB internal by default!) with laserdisc player somewhere in 2K2 in Bussum. That one was just great! And thinking that there were games released for it, isn't it amazing?
I too think there's still quite a lot laserdisc players around, but they're indeed very expensive. The laserdisc system didn't work that well in Europe as well. You'd better try to get some in Japan, for example on Yahoo! auctions .

Lol, show me where did I say it's not? I would love to have full MSX Laser Game setup and all the games. But I don't feel like spending around 1000$ on this

I'll trade you a nice Japanese LD player, compatible with PX-7, but only for Badlands.
I already have Astron Belt.

I don't want to sound TOO cool but I usually buy very cheap Laserdisc stuff. I just bought a LD-7000 for $20 and Esh Aururonmilla for $30.

But this was not the question. What Laserdisc players are compatible with PX-7? I really don't need the answer now since I just bought a LD but if anyone has the info so...

Thanks

CC

You can use for example Pioneer LD-700 (US model) or LD-7000 (Japanese model) with it. That's propably the best solution since PX-7 was mentioned to use with it and this player was very popular for watching movies in it's time. So, player is usually inexpensive and quite easy to find both from USA and Japan. Try ebay for finding one.

BTW, player is quite heavy, about 12-13kg and shipping will be expensive. Also, remember to ask that seller locks the shipping screw under player. Otherwise you may get just useless piece of junk after shipping (mine wasn't locked and I used one weekend for fixing it). However, it's sturdy player and can be usually also fixed when you know you're doing.

And one thing to remember: don't mix PAL and NTSC systems to each other. Use only NTSC player and computer.

Greetings: Saku Taipale

PS. Cheap price ofr Aurunmilla, it's one of the rarest and lot expensive normally.
