Aleste 2, weapon type 4 seems to be a good choice, but don't forget Twinkle Laser from Nemesis 3. If you capture Twinkle laser and use in conjunction with Multiple (rounding options), Nemesis 3 will be a children toy.

In my opinion, Nemesis 3 is really a easy game, with or without powerfull weapons, including the last stage.
I really passed this game with no powerfull weapons, only with some speed up's and the (not so ridiculous) Tail Beam weapon (now I know the "why" Konami included Tail beam in Nemesis 3).

Well remembered BiFi, the Half a Screen Laser is a cool weapon, unfortunately you can use it only 1 time to open a stone wall in that stage.

What about GALAGA's twin spaceship shoot? You are nearly invincible!

Hum... the best thing is not a single weapon, but to have a good combination of them. For example: in Nemesis 2, 2 Options + Extended Laser + Napalm Missile + Uplaser. Superb!

By the way, could someone patch Nemesis 2 for having four options?

It must be the reset button. When things go wrong during the game I get angry and this 'weapon' is quite helpful.

Pulling a power cable does the trick nicely as well

I'd go for the Srew Laser or Meteo Laser from Salamander. In fact, I like any kind of laser. They give such a rush!

how about the gun in some earlier HyperOlympics (kleiduiven ding)?

WORST weapon ever has to be down-double from nemesis 3.... first you had the already crappy up-double in nemesis 1 and 2 ... luckily it was replaced by ripple laser in salamander. but they threw it back in in nemesis 3, even with down-double! which meant losing your missiles if you activate it. so you could go from having screwlaser+photonmissiles+uplaser to having down-double only... how sad is that!
