| TFH: Do you have any idea how much attention the MSX revival got in the Japanese media? How many bookstores were selling the MSX Magazines at the most important hotspots of their shops? I've been there during the release of the second MSX Magazine and was very impressed with what I saw. I think that if similar things will happen in Europe, MSX will get more media coverage in Europe as well.
|
I am of course talking about European/Western media. Everyhthing that is happening in Japan is all fine and stuff, but pretty much useless to most people here on this side of the world.
|
What I was trying to point out is that the Commodore revival is most probably getting very little attention in the Japanese media. It's exactly the same situation, but then the other way around. |

TFH, you stated Commodore was getting a lot more attention in the media than MSX. It felt to me that you were implying that the Commodore Revival was/is more succesful than the MSX Revival for that reason. I proved you wrong and explained why. The way the Commodore revival gets attention in the Japanese media is similar to the way the MSX revival gets attention in European media, which is perfectly understandable. Besides, you can hardly call releasing 20GB MP3 players with the name 'Vic-20' a Commodore revival, can you? At the moment, the MSX Revival is situated in Japan and not in Europe which is why European media report little about it. That situation might change in the future, though.
Of course it would be great to get more MSX in the media in Europe and other non-Japanese countries (we started the MSX in the Media Challenge for a reason, you know ), but even without the MSX Revival in Europe we can get a lot of media attention for MSX, I'm sure of that. |

... And that's what I dislike about it: the 'might'. Quit the 'might'. |

Ahum... "You proved me wrong"????... Well, you made a statement, but never "proved" anything Mr. Snout.
Besides that, read my message again, and especially this part:

It's a shame, since the MSX-revival seems to be a lot more focused on the machine, while the Commodore revival is just a way to earn money with the brand name.

Don't just read the stuff you don't like from me, but also the rest, ok? |
