There are two problems with that:
1. the roms are copyrighted
2. the roms should most likely be placed in a specific slot

You can make an image of about any ROM in any system these days. To make an image of your ROM's you need to know in which slot and what type it is (whether it's mapped or not). You can use SAVEROM.COM for example to dump ROMs. There's also a similar program GETROM.BIN or GETROMS.BIN which scans the system for ROMs it can dump.

BiFi, where can we get these programs? There are some people that ask me for the ROMs images of my F700 MSX2+ converted in order to use them in their MSX 2. |

Elements - You're not requesting someone to send you a copyrighted ROM file, are you? (subtle hint)

Actually, it doesn't say anything specific about asking for ROMs on the forums there... |

its only for me as user. i have still the roms from funet ftp site but i dunno how to use it.
BY te way translating for japanese games is also copyrighted so, its alo illegal people. see software licences. if it programmed or manaufucruterd for that district or regio its not allowed also to distrubite in europe or usa. so can some body help me yes or no? i have the roms and i wantto put that on disk or harddisk for my sytem. copying and distrubuting roms for emaulators r also illegal.

More and more people make more and more people more and more confusing. Too much? Try to say that three times without errors
Nobody is talking about copying and distributing roms for emulators or something. As for translations, I've never heard Konami, Compile, Micro Cabin or Falcom having problems with the Oasis translation group for translating their games. I guess they're just glad their games were bought.
And as for releasing translated games... I agree, but that's where patch methods might com in handy. The you are simply required to have it in order to be able to patch the translation over it. |

Anyway, do you now know in which slots the roms should be located? I guess they were made for these slots and you need to change some of the rom contents to be able to have it running in a different machine... or different slots.

Nobody can help you with that. You cannot just load system ROMs as if it are programs!
Maybe Trunk's LOADROM will work, but it's gamble... If that doesn't work, you will have to find a hacker/programmer who can adapt the roms so it will work on your MSX.
