Hi to everybody!
I have been a regular participant in this forum, but due to the latest events I have decided that I cannot stand MRC's attitude towards certain subjects and/or individuals.
So I have moved to another MSX forum, where -believe it or not- messages aren't suddenly erased, there is no senseless censorship and everyone is allowed to say what he wants to say. People there have different opinions but they are polite enough to not offend any other participants.
Even more, there is no "ban" features there.
Where can you find all this? At http://www.msxposse.com
Everyone is welcome there. You will find there some open-minded MSX users, like dhau, HansO and many others.
Regards,
Edward Robsy

Oh, yes. I am possibly the most fiendish MSX user ever born!
Come on, Arjan.

I prefer a moderated forum, it keeps the quality on a high level.

in the few threads I've seen @ msxposse, I've even seen moderators actively participating in flamewars so it's not all that good over there...

Does it?
Not when the moderators are highly biassed.
Moderation is one thing. Censorship is totally different.

Well, at MRC the flamewars suddenly disappear.
Everyone should decide what's better. I have just pointed that there is an alternative MSX forum. And I feel better there, that's all.

Sorry, not my kind of forum.
Secondly, it's not very neat that you use this forum to A: complain about the forum and B: to promote your own forum. No, I don't like the attitude. |

Uhm.. it's not that the MRC mods are living to ban everyone orso .. you'll get a ban if you're using offensive language and mess-around in a way that's generally annoying to other users.. and that's normal. |

The owner or owners of the website of course. |

I don't care about what you think about my attitude, Jazzy.
But I am fed up of people telling what is right and what is wrong about MSX. I am absolutely fed up of prophets and prophecies about MSX, MSX Revival, MSX Association, Nishi and what-so-ever.
Everyone is free to choose his way: I only point in a different direction. Here, free-opinions are usually punished. That has got a name, and quite different from democracy.

Exactly, amusing as the flamewars sometimes are, generally they are very annoying. If there is no moderation they will probably be endless. There are (hopefully were) days the only activity on the MRC were flames, that's a very bad thing and I am glad for the moderation that halts the flaming. |

But what's your aim? You must have one as you're taking the effort to open a topic about it.
Take care and don't take it personal as language barriers (even it's your native language) are a major problem in non-personal media like the internet.
