Does anyone know how to play with SVI318/328 using MESS?
I have .CAS and .ROM, but when i run it, the MESS gui disappears and emulator hangs for a while, but emulation doesn't start.

Why not try another emulator? Emu's like NLMSX or blueMSX are much better... You could also try openMSX, but iit's a little harder to use.

I checked this link and found there are Konami´s Knightmare and Goonies as .CAS files for Spectravideo emulator.... Can anyone please describe how this is possible... are those two files altered for Spectravideo or is that Spectravideo emulator made to work such way it accepts MSX files too....? So in that case it can´t be spectravideo emulator... or are those games also made for Spectravideo too? (Never heard...) |

Games that not use the BIOS should run automatically...
Actually I don't know how much similarities the MSX BIOS and the SVI3x8 BIOS have. I do know the BASIC is 95% identical.

The SVI-318/328 addresses I/O ports differently. Also the memory bank switching is different, it is implemented using the port B of PSG. So, every MSX program that uses the hardware directly doesn't work.

Those games are converted from MSX versions, there are other Konami titles converted as well.
It doesn't accept MSX software and is just a pure SVI-318/328 emulator.
