Uhm, this doesn't seem to be an original FM STEREO PAK. That one should be Konami sized cartrdige  Look at the label....Huh?! |

Yup, I have an original, it should have a small casing.
But does that matter ?

Yep this is the original FM-PAK, no copy or whatever.
The label is the same as on the smaller (konami) box.
I think that it was sold bij MSX club Gouda, just as Thom said before.
The box is idd oversized.
The label is a little bit damaged due the often use of it, and it's more as 10 years old?
i have also the small version (konami boxed) and the print is the same of both.
And is the 1st serie of GRFX9000 the same box as the version that is sell now?
And is the box of the 1st series of the moonsound not in a diferent box as the sold lately?
but i am sure this is a 100% original FM-Stereo-PAK.

FM-PAK = FM-PAC = MSX-MUSIC = Yamaha OPLL chipset
Philips Music Module = MSX-Audio = Yamaha OPL1 chipset + ADPCM DAC (32kB or 256kB)

I have a Konami-sized FM-PAK. It had different BIOS, built-in amplifier and stereo output. It doesn't have a switch like FM-PAC does.
If you want I can post hirez pictures of pcboard later (my other PC doesn't boot... time to migrate to Linux or something...) |
