| And lol, that songtitle... all i could think of when i saw it was 'DAMN typical me in those days'
I still can't think of any good songtitles sometimes though.
|
But wasnt the song called Cing Vingt?
How did you make the song back in the 90's it was very hard to reinput the appegiator
very complicated stuf...
i remaked it in 16 hours... i hope you can here the time ive put in the song.....
ive used Moonblaster as a music book to view the notes....
and Fruity Loops 6.0,a string synth,Proto PSG,Ts404(TB303),909 samples, tons of filters and fx)
i wanted a bit MSX sound in it so i choose psg sound in the lead string,lead2,appegiator psg combined with tb303 ,the bass in the dance part is also a PSG .
im a bit PSG freak PSG bass sounds are the ideal bass sounds in dance music
the PSG bass is a kind of low sounding atacking monster that wipes the dance floor

You're right, it was... i forgot why i changed it though, probably some ludicrous attempt to annoy Mike (another compjoetania member)

haha, well arpeggio's aren't that complicated to make... just complicated to figure out when you have to REmake them
I remember with lots of songs i made (or tried to make) that i just editted with trial on error... put some notes in, play pattern, nopez sounds crap, edit notes, play pattern, still sounds crap, edit em again, play pattern, hmmm doesn't sound too bad...
That's what you get when you start tracking on a computer with no prior musical background or knowledge
I'm still sort of 'embarrassed' when i hear the stuff i made in the early days (*mumbles something about Deathtrack, and the songs that didn't even make that disk*) ^_^

An arpeggio is rather simple... can make it harder than simple, but the basic is simple...
to avoid #, use A4,C5,E5 as basechord and here you go
A4-C5-E5-A5-C5-E5-A5-C6-E5-A5-C6-E6-A5-C6-E6-A6
you can divide it in 4 seperate pieces:
A4-C5-E5-A5|C5-E5-A5-C6|E5-A5-C6-E6|A5-C6-E6-A6
see that the next note in every piece is just the logical follower? and that every piece starts with the next note of the chord?
Going back, is exactly the other way around

ok, but transposing that kind of arpeggio doesnt work everytime and then again, it's a basic arpeggio that usually works fine. but if you prefer a different type that isnt that predictable as going to the next note every 3 notes, you will have a hard time without using #notes
in the end, as low_profile said, they are harder to analyse, then to make |
