Hi everybody,
I'm looking for a DIN8-SCART cable for my SONY HB-700 MSX2. I've already have one but don't seem to work properly (sometimes the screen is all black, other times it's only B/W and the image deviated to the left, etc...) Does anybody have one to sell me?
Could I connect my HB-700 to a Commodore 1084S monitor to get a color picture? How?
Thanks,
Sergi

There's a lot of articles on how to connect the different MSX models on all sorts of monitors. If you've used a soldering iron before, I suggest you google and make a run for the local electronics shop. If you don't feel much like doing the job yourself, Repair-and-also-sell-Bas is indeed an option.

The HB700 cable is the same as for MSX2+ and MSX turboR computers, maybe that will help |

12? 12 what? Euro, US-Dollars, Guilders, Lire, Peseta's, Pound, Crowns, Yen? It's quite useful to add the currency since it's unknown where the potential buyer is located.

I live in a town near Barcelona in Spain. I guess price is in euros, isn't it?
I don't know wich of the 1084S connectors would give me a better image quality, I was thinking to connect it to the CVBS connector, but it also has a 6 pin DIN analog connector. What should I do? I'm interested, Repair-Bas. How could we do it?

Ooops, sorry I was mistaken!
My Commodore 1084S (as stated in the monitor manual) "works in four different operating modes: Composite (Pal Standard), Separated LCA (Luma-Chroma-Audio), Digital RGBI (Red/Green/Blue Intensity) and analog RGB.
Connectors:
- RGB. 9-pin D connector (can alternate between RGB analog and
Digital RGBI TTL with switch)
- CVBS/L. For computers with CVBS output and computers with
LCA output for luminance signal input. Yellow phono jack.
- CHROMA. Red phono jack for computer with LCA output to
connect CHROMA signal input
- AUDIO-L. White phono jack
- AUDIO-R. Black phono jack for stereo sound reproduction.
I think that's all.
It would be interesting that the cable also worked with MSX2+ because I'm interested in buying one, but now I'm focused on the SONY HB-700.
Repair-Bas, you can contact me at sergiclaramunt@hotmail.com |
