example:

I don't think LHEXT has that kind of DOS2 support... I know it can extract with sub-directories but if it has support to parse a pathname with sub-directories, I never tried it.

Yup, it does extract to specified subdirs 
That's why it is so nice  (hell, who's using PMEXT anyways these days?  ) |

Lhasa is good if you use Window 9x.
PMEXT is good if you use MSX-DOS [also work in MS-DOS with a MSX-DOS emulator].
