My name is Erik and it's nice to be back in the Msx-scene.
I started out with my first msx when i was 14 or so (Toshiba Hx-10 msx1, what a great machine that was!).
In that period i was playing games almost day and night.
I remember my mother had a lot of problems with that.
After the Toshiba i bought the Philips Nms 8245 msx2.
At school there was a huge "war" going on between the msx-users and the commodore-users.
Of course Msx was the best home computer but those commodore-users just wouldn't except it.
My best friend also had a msx and we played a lot of games (mainly the Konami games).
I had a lot of fun playing the Hyper Olympics and Sports games and of course the shooters series Nemesis / Salamander!
And of course King's Valley, Usas, Vampire Killer, Metal Gear etc etc etc.
Man, when i think of it... what a great time we had those days!
Someday i decided to join the Msx Club Groningen or was it Msx Computer Club Groningen?
It was great to go there and bring your own Msx with you.
Just hanging out with other msx-ers, playing games and talking msx-stuff!
(Hi Anne, Arnoud, Sander and all you folks!)
Too bad the Msx Club didn't last very long.
In those days i have also started collecting msx-games a bit and had a nice collection of some great games.
I also went to the Msx fairs in Tilburg and Zandvoort.
Going there was something i was always looking forward to.
I always came home with a lot of games and new msx-stuff.
Almost all my money was spend for my msx hobby.
After that the msx went a bit to the background for me but i kept my collection of games for all those years.
Sometime ago i have started collecting again.
My main collection is Msx of course, but i also collect Konami games on all formats.
I mainly use Ebay for my searches and my collection is getting very very big!
Sometimes i also sell some stuff on Ebay.
You can find me on:

If anybody wants to ask me something about collecting msx-games, i would love to help you if i can.
I have a "few" games so i can probably give you some information.
My emailaddress is: fhjhuizinga@tiscali.nl .

Well thats it for know you folks.
It's nice to be back and join Msx.org.............. MSX FOR EVER !!!

All the best,
Erik

I (well, actually, my dad) started with a 8245. That meant the beginning of my addiction

Heyah Erik.. Looooong time no see. Indeed, it's a shame MSX Club Groningen stopped. It meant the end (or at least a drop in activity) of the MSX hobby to many. But hey, MSX can never -really- let you go, eh?
