Speak for yourself! The Netherlands are just occupying Fryslân for about 500 years now and they don't have to think they get away with it. When Fryslân gets independant again it should take a good look to Monaco e.g. Make a tax-paradise of it and than look who laughs best!
Well, i could speak hours about this but i won't. Back on topic please |

lol... Considering I inserted the 'Frysk'-artefact as a joke... Note the ' '
And then again, I've nothing against them, although I think it would be a bit overdone to let them have their own nation
And besides, I live in Gelderland, far away from Fryslân |

If you ask me we'd only loose a couple of speedskating medals and not much more besides a lot of idiots that have a local hymne they call national, without having a nation . Then again, I never understood much forms of nationalism anyway, be it in large or small forms
And thanks for explaining the news thingy, I thought it was meant to lure more members to MRC to grow THE community. Now I understand it's not Perhaps it's because I never check the Dutch news or Dutch forum either...why doesn't just everyone learn English? |

No one owns any land anyway,a retarded thing of people to think they do...don't think you had to sign a contract when people first emerged on this planet to get land here? Perhaps the people from fryslan should have moved to say...ehhhh thailand or some parts of indonesia then we wouldn't have these discussions anymore (jk guys)

I want to add one more paragraph to the message that starts this thread:
5) people don't want to join MRC because of very low signal/noise ratio
(and the way this thread went is another proof to the point)
Dear friends, do you really think all this bu&&sh$# you wrote here is an interesting MSX information or this somehow helps the discussion ? Or you just want to say "we don't need any russians or japanese here - it's our private site, we are the coolest MSXers in the world and f&^$ the others" ?
Just say it - and I will close the discussion.

4) Well, as you already said, the language is also a big constraint for many people (my English is not perfect too). We can try to open a russian section on the forum for a limited time - and let's see whether it helps.
|
I kinda aggree on this experiment since it seems low effort and a good way to attract a russian (or japanese) audience with potential translaters. |

Cax shouldn't overreact like that, take a pill, a deep breath and calm down. MRC forum is a community, not a newspaper. Besides, if every post should only be interesting and about MSX, the number of posts would decrease 2000% since there isn't that much interesting to tell each minute of the day about MSX. So no, this 'bullshit' has nothing to do with feeling superior towards Japanese and Russian MSX users...where the fuck did you get that dumb idea anyway? The Japanese are our heroes! It's just what ik looks like, smalltalk. Hell I don't even know where everybody is from, like I care.
So if people find your point 5 a problem, yes they should stay away, they should buy a book on programming or something and completely forget what it is like to interact and communicate with other intelligent beings.
And I still think the newspages in Russian / Japanese would be cool, not sure if a Russian subforum will do much good, but it's worth a shot? |

MrRudi: 10x for switching back to the topic :-)
About non-MSX talk: would you appreciate if I will start talking about Mid-East problems, about terrorists, occupation and such just right here, in this topic ?
And thanks again for talking business.

No, but making fun of fellow MSX-ers is something that should never be forbidden imho Like it or not, chitchat makes a community succesful, rather then staying on-topic 99% of the times. It wouldn't be a bad idea to inlcude an on-topic reply with the off-topic blatter, I'll give you that! |

If you want to spit it all out, then Off-Topic would be the ultimate location for all that.. nothing wrong with that.. |
