I saw in some place that exists a Chaos Assembler trial?

My needs is only test the pt3 player in PT3Tools. I have tried with M80 (after converting) and some others and didn't could get the code working. The code is in Chaos Assembler format. If someone already successfully converted to M80 (plain text, hexadecimals in 0FFFFH format and db, dw, ds without . before the statement), better?

I'm a lammer regards to sound, but my graphics relates main routines are almost complete.

Chaos Assembler 2 didn't work for me. I need a trial from the third version.

Thanks in advance,
Sonic_aka_T

Why not try some of the newer cross-assemblers. I think both tniASM and SjASM swallow most sources ($FF, 0FFH etc) and many oddities could be easily changed with a REPLACE in any old windoze text editor.

I have tried them before write the post. In past, when I was deciding which assembler or cross-assembler use for returning to assembly code, I have downloaded both and almost all others.

Each one show different errors.

I remember Vincent and me got it working in tniASM with minor changes. I don't know where I have the sources ... maybe Vincent.

I will try do some changes then, but if you or Vincent get the sources, will be useful if they are included in the pt3tools pack. I probably will convert them to M80 and send to MRC/you.

Do not conclude that is laziness. I only need to work on *new* code to add all the features I want.

Hi marison
I have converted PT3 (the latest version ;26-Jan-05) for SjASM and it works great. If you need the codes, send me an email.

Nice work but I thought the last version was the file PTxTools.7z (17.Mar.2005) which contains PT3.ASM, where you can see that the last update to the source was 09.Jan.2005.

Where can I download the 26-Jan-05 version? I can't find it at Bulba's place.

By the way, marison, in the webshop you have Chaos Assembler 3 for just 2.99€. I think it's nothing for a very nice tool for coding. But, anyway, there are some free compilers, and they are very good.

Regards,

Alfonso.

Great!

I already send you a mail. I will retribute with other conversions and maybe a SEE and PT3 player integration.

Thanks!

@dioniso

I have sent the pt3.asm to marison, ask me the code by email and I will send it to you.
The 26-Jan-05 version comes with some code modification with respect to the one of 09.Jan.2005, but I haven’t analysed the meaning of changes
