Looking for NMS 8250/8280 in a good condition. Also could be interested in Turbo R for a reasonable price. I will pay additionally for shipment to Russia/Moscow.
In old times there were msx Yamaha YIS/805 in Russia, but now its very difficult to find, so I am trying to find an alternative from other countries.
Regards,
Michael

I got an YIS-805R2/128 for 200 US$ + shipping. I just posted an ad here with a 200 US$ bounty number. And a few months later I did got email from the seller.
If you really want a NMS8250, I have one in good condition, with two real Philips floppy drives and fully working keyboard. I'll sell it you you for 50$ + shipping cost. But I live in Canada, so shipping could be expensive, since it's a heavy unit. My NMS has 256K of RAM as opposed to 128K by default, and has MSXDOS2 2.20 rom built-in by Bas.
For the best MSX experience on a budget, I'd recommend you to try to get a Panasonic MSX2+ computer (FX, WX or WSX). They go for about 70-100 euro a unit. The CPU can be set in turbo mode (3.54 x 1.5 ~= 5MHz). Memory could be cheaply extended to 512K by an expert electrician. WSX supports S-Video out, which gives very nice clear and crisp picture. And it has OOPL chip (MSX Music aka FMPAC, supported by many disk and some cartridge games). |

Hi Mikhail,
I've read your personal mail in my mailbox (www.mellema.net/homecomputers) but had no time to answer it. I'm currently quite busy and leave soon for holiday. Sorry for that.
To be honest I think the offer above is very goed, I mean the NMS 8250. I have the same machine but with standard memory and one broken diskdrive.

msx professional:
Thank you. Your proposal sounds interesting. Could you investigate how much will be to send by DHL ? (with custom clearence included) Do you have additionally IDA-CF converter and will it work with NMS ? Another question - I have a TV 20" with Euro Scart and another 44" with RRB input and S-video input. Will it work (at least one of them)?
Regarding MSX2+ . Well are there any reason to buy addtionally MSX2+? Or MSX turbo ? Any interesting software appeared for it or ?
When I was a kid I saw only MSX2 games and would like to purchase a system for nastalgia purposes. For me its still a question to buy or not MSX turbo r for $300 ? May be wait for another year and enjoy PS3 with new evolution of games supporting 1080p ?

TurboR pisses all over the PS3, you should buy one.

As far as Turbo R GT is the last mammoth, I think for my collection it can be interesting. Is it possible to find Turbo r GT for 250 Euro + shipment ?

No, not possible. Prices for used bare Turbo GT are about 300-350 euro, and if it comes in box with manuals and overlays, it's more in range of 450-500 euro.
Better try to get bare TurboR ST and extend memory from 256 to 512K. Sometimes you can get them from rklok for about 200-250 euro on eBay.
I'll find out the shipping via DHL, but no idea about custom clearance thing.

You could also try to contact Alexey Podrezov, who sold to me and to Jazzy a number of russian Yamaha's.
And stay tuned - we are opening a russian msx.org site soon !

If the turboR is that good, why is it not mainstream?
btw Where can I buy a turboR? (or 2+)
POISONIC: most pc's are stable with a decent OS like Linux or freeBSD.

Because mainstream is dull and too easy.
