I just read El Giza's Seal topic and freezing in MSX2 version... and I remembered my Nemesis 3, which has several moments where game freezes for about a half second or less.

First one comes in third level, when meteors start falling in your head.

I remember second one is on third level too, it is after you got thru that cave and snake formation flashing red-purple ships come.

Do ya have same in your nemesis 3?


by the way... what the use is that shining multicolour ball in beginning of the level 3 which flashes everytime when you shoot it? Apart it is nice flashy effect of course

I know the first freeze in the third stage very well. It occurs when that weird ball is scrolling in... still don't know what that ball is for either btw...

Perhaps they had spare characters left and wanted to add some art, for the sake of art ^_^

the freezing is prolly a change of charsets...

The shining multicolour ball s you call it is the opposite of the black holes at the end of level 3. One black hole has no gravitational pull: here you find a weapon. All the others will pull at you. If you are pulled in you will be transported back to the shining "ball" at the beginning of the level.

no, you will be transported back to the hole at the beginning of the level, not the shining ball.

the shining ball commands the asteroids to attack you

and this way people can give numerous funny/meaningless meanings to the shining ball

which can be quite amusing of course...

yep, if you hit wrong "black hole" in the end of stage 3, you are not transported back to the shiny "ball(s)" but to the another "hole"....

use 5x speed to get away from those darn blackholes press f1 type: find press f1 again and you will see at the end a thing in the blackhole for a secret weapin................

there is another way too, without "cheating".

at the end of the third level, where are lots of black holes spinning, you can spot "secret weapon black hole" easily!

Just look for only one black hole which is NOT spinning!

but 5 x speed is still handy
