Hello!

Is possible to play Akin and Shrines of Enigma directly from Sunrise CD ATA-IDE? Thanks

Shrines of Enigma can be played from HD/CF etc. The image on the MCCM CD was made HD-ready. I haven't seen any Akin game played from those media yet though.

I actually never tried it myself, but does HDDEMU work?

Shrines... no need to, as they're all files...
Akin... haven't tried it either, but worth investigating...

unless sunrise has tried that himself already of course...

I have Akin in my HDD. IIRC I had to crack my original to get it working.

Hello again

I have copied all Shrines of Enigma files into CF card and I can see lots of COM archives. There is a working DEMO.COM, but it is just a demo. MBR.COM hangs up, PORTAL.COM loads the Elements logo, but after this, crashes. DAZE seems to try to load a level but crashes too. There are other archives like BOSS, etc. How to load the game? Ah, SUNRISE.COM don't work too after the logo. There is something hidden in diskette MBR?

It would be very cool too have this AKIN HDD version, Guillian (I have the original one too!)

for shrines, you need PORTAL.COM to run the game.

same goes for me on the AKIN issue... I've got the original as well.

I have tried PORTAL.COM but I only get Elements logo and after a crash. I used MAP utility but didn't work. Akin only have SUNRLOGO.COM executable file... Sunrise logo appears but the game is not loaded.

Apparently that's not the one release MCCM Millennium CDs which contains a version that is installable on HD without any problem. Maybe sunrise can provide you with that version... provieded you have an original shrines of course.

BiFi, I have heard that MCCM Millenium CDs where for 'subscribers only'... I think there is no way to get these CDs... or not?
