I think there's a serious lack of cool MSX pinball games. Developers: you know what to do!

Snout is right
C'mon guys! Make Pinball Fantasies on the Amiga look like crap!

I've been wanting to do that for yeeeeeaaaaars, really. And could be a piece of cake on Gfx9000.
But eh well, y'know:

Pinball Dreams and Pinball Fantasies the best for Amiga.

Rollerball for MSX.

It's a pity MATRA splitted up. One of their projects was a very pro-missing Pinball for MSX2

well AuroraMSX can you draw or program for gfx9000?

i can only do some tricks in v9990 basic and draw pinbal tables basic but a pinball game on gfx 9000 will be awsome i have a gfx9000 to and i guess a pinball game is not so hard to make i guess the only hard parts are

- creating gfx
- i have allot of pinball samples so sound for opl4 aka moonsound would be possible more realism than a boring psg beep ......
- creating a open source pinball game engine so that every one can try to make their own tables so more fun.

if i can help to create a pinball game for v9990 i want to help then

Pinball maker... That one surely brings back some memories! I recall spending days making the coolest flippers, together with my nephew. Darn, those old times...

Can't we get the good old times, combined with todays comfort?
Classic gaming feeling, but with today's loading speed?

Graphics isn't the biggest issue here, figuring out the physic and collision detection is the main issue for creating a pinball game.

For the rest, animating one/two sprites and a basic vertical scrolling isn't too much to take care of...

indeed maggoo...it's all about ballcalculations that make a pinball game good !
and I personally think that the isometric 3 perspective ones are less accurate,
there's a reason why the pinball dreams series (thanks bart by the way for reminding me
it was future crew) are so fucking addicting. the vertical scroller makes it very addictive
because you have more overview...
indeed, playability is crucial with pinball games...and I suppose that's down to some maths ....
http://www.framework-studios.com/ check out fastlane pinball, that one was done by my bro
(music and background gfx) and a guy who coded the playstation 1 hardware, who did the 3d and maths

The physics are not that difficult really. The problem is that it may not be doable on z80 at reasonable speed. So the challenge will be to find a balance between realism and speed.
