None. The guy sold it before we could reach an arragement. (It was a G900, BTW)

So, I'm back were I began...

Can somebody please put a link to a good MSX, MSX2, MSX2+ or MSX Turbo R offer???

(BTW, blueMSX plays very slow when full screen, that's why I don't use it)

this one or this one would do just fine. Both are Japanese machines (100V/NTSC), so they would work just fine for you. You should prolly consider expanding the memory a little tho, since both are (iirc) 64kB machines. While this is just fine for playing (original) games like Metal Gear or Metal Gear 2, it's not enough for other software out there. Expanding these machines is usually not too much work though, and costs something in the order of $25, well worth the 'investment'.

Well, if both of them can come to Mexico (I can't go to USA, work issues) and if they're inside my finances I don't see why not...

But all I have are around 180 bucks... (dollars, of course...)

I'm worried...

With a wee little bit of luck, you'd be able to buy a Panasonic FS-A1ST MSX turboR for those $180 -- just keep an eye on eBay. When you have such a machine, there's no worrying anymore. 256kB memory ought to be enough for anyone

And BTW: the Sony HB-G900AP/P/D is an excellent choice as well. One doesn't see them too often on eBay, but those are magnificent MSXes, just take that little bit care for the keyboard, which tends to go haywire after some time; keep it clean

I really like the professional looks of that machine, plus, it has 256kB memory by default (iirc), the AP even 512kB or even 1MB (but I don't know for sure, though). Good luck, in any case

Well, those computers are around $100 (a little less), which would leave you with $80 for shipment to Mexico. If it doesn't need to be there the next day, that's probably doable.

By default the AP has sometimes 128K or 512K, but the IC sockets for upgrades are already present. So its just a matter of finding the right IC (514256) for a total of 1 MB memory.
Only one floppy drive, so invest in an IDE diskdrive! Only the NMS8250/55/80 and the Sony HB-700 seem to have (space for) two floppy drives.

I have a Sony 900P, it has 2 drives but only 64K RAM
I asked Bas, but he said it is not easy to built in 512K or more
So ony a 900AP got 512kram as minimum not a 900P or 900D!!!
The 900P i own with 2 drives is a nice machine and it's looks very profesional as well.

That is true indeed. The HB-900P is a machine built with discrete IC's, no MSX Engine chip. One of the few MSX-2 machines without a special IC like the S3527.
The 64K builtin is not in a mappertype that can easily be extended to more memory. With an external mapper it is a very nice machine. more 'professional' than its cousin the NMS8280.

GOD DAMNIT!!! I went out of town EXACTLY the day the auction ended, and I wasn´t able to buy ANY of those PCs.

Not only that, but thanks to Killer7 and a memory card for my Game Cube, now my finances are around $30...

I´ll have to wait a couple of weeks for my paycheks to arrive...

And until those good times come, I won´t be able to join you, MSX guys...

See ya´in a month!!!
