Like you I'm a MSX fan & user since several years...


5 years ago I began to collect retro games/computers. First MSX and PcEngine and after Genesis & Nintendo.
One day I've got the chance to get the Snatcher issues on MSX & PcEngine and a few monthes after the MegaCD version which is the best one ever made (on my own).

Today, I'm looking for a PSX version but it's only a Japanese version.
My question is to know if a translation was made like the ones made for Xak3 or Ys4 on the PcEngine/Duo system ??
At first it was only Japanese version but patches for the texts in English were made.

The only English version of Snatcher in existence was made for SegaCD. All the other versions are in Japanese only. Snatcher was made for the PC-8801 mk2, MSX2, PC Engine, SegaCD, Playstation and Saturn. Except the SegaCD version, none are English.

A fantranslation for snatcher MSX was made. search the MRC and you'll find it. I could give it to you here, but I'm a lazy sob.

I've got it in original but euh, it's in Japanese . But this impressive translation is sooooo great !

SD Snatcher is playable in Japanese. Snatcher isn't.

Before the translation was made, I've tried to play at the same time with the MSX version and the SegaCD. Forget it...The "structure" of your choices didn't seem to be the same.

Next time, I'll do it with the PcEngine Duo version and the SegaCD one.
