Well, there ARE already MPEG-1 and MPEG-4 encoders/decoders written in VHDL, dunno how tricky it is to implement them in the OCM though, and afaik none of these projects have an open source. Still, hardware decoding and encoding of images/audio/video/whatever is not impossible in VHDL. |

Dunno, I'd much rather have a VDP that can actually write that MPEG data to the screen fast enough. I guess we should concentrate on that first...
