I'd say: not without the permission (or at least crediting) of the original developer, who has often spent a lot of time and efforts to create something unique for his own productions. Especially in software contests, where you are expected to develop a product all by yourself, I'd say you should not use code of other developers. Either way, these snippets of source code are often ideal for educational purposes and for inspiration to code similar things on your own. You can do it!

The game use a lot of blue blocks.

With this sort of thing, I can make simple software.
