Meta-poll: Was it a bad idea to simplify the GameStats poll?

A. Yes, leaving out the possible reason for being against was an attempt to influence the voters in favour of GameStats
B. Yes, because it added to the polarisation
C. Yes, what good is this thread if poll suggestions are changed anyway
D. No, the MRC is not obliged to follow all the suggestions made here
E. No, the simplified poll is much clearer
F. No, the original poll was biased against GameStats

Something tells me you'd have voted A t/m C on this one. Although the current poll could have been better indeed I wanted to post a poll on the topic quickly, and surely a poll with an option "No, all spyware is evil" would bias the poll completely to that option. I see little bias in asking for a "yes" or a "no", but I admit the poll lacks nuance this way. Please keep in mind that this topic is called suggest-a-poll and not enforce-a-poll-on-the-MRC-team, though

Polls are a tricky thing and, as I have said very often, polls on the MRC should not be taken too seriously. In college I took part in a poll in which we asked people what they thought of the new mayor of Groningen, Jacques Wallage. One group would ask the question on the market in front of the town all, asking how people felt about a familiar face from the national politics becoming the mayor of Groningen. Another group stood in front of parking garages, and asked how the people who had just gone through the trouble of finding their way to the parking garage felt about the person being responsible for most of Groningen being one-way traffic returning to the politics in Groningen. It's safe to say the poll results were completely different.
