Hello.
I'm woring in set-top box platform company.
I've ported MSX emulator from fMSX. And I'll deliver MSX emulator freely in set-top box.
In that case, what is need to avoid legal problem?
And if I need some license, let me know what I do.

ps.
There is no game ROM in this product, just emulator only.
Customer will do download and use the game ROM.

The MSX bios roms are also copyrighted.

You can e.g. also use openMSX under the terms of the GNU General Public License.

Some points: use a free MSX emulator (openMSX perhaps is a good solution; blueMSX also, but maybe it is harder to port), use a free compatible MSX BIOS (C-BIOS) and add only free MSX games in ROM format. Please note that there is a lot of free MSX software that is not intended to be sold. Therefore, if you want to use it to make some profit, you should first contact the authors and grant their permission.

IIRC it's important whether the emulator in it has so called "added value" etc.
I don't understand anything in laws, but I feel there can be some issues.
