My post was a very serious one.
And no one seems to be very serious here.

I would like to close this Topic.

Moved to development - although there was a little false start, I think you might find an intro designer (or two) here on the MRC forums... give it some time, Norakomi!

norakomi, you might want this as story reference:
http://bifi.msxnet.org/msxnet/konami/spacemanbow/english.html

some ideas:
1) Ok, this is standard fare, but in the intro it would be nice to have a (B&W?) pic from the ending of the first game, namely where you see the remnants of Space Manbow (the "brain" still moving.
Then you can go to the scene which you described; it would be nice if the enemy ship that destroys "father's ship" is either a sub-boss or a (modified?) version of Space Manbow 1's endboss.

2) It begins like you described... during the game it's revealed that the unknown enemy has revived Space Manbow.

..sadly I'm not quite the graphics designer, though.

then there's some things I'd do differently anyways (provided I could pull it off), you've probably heard similar things before:
- if possible, redo all graphics instead of using existing ones.
- even if you want it to be a sequel to space manbow, I'd give it a different name and then maybe a subtitle in which you refer to it being an unofficial sequel.

I've seen the demo running at Bussum; it looked nice, but I would suggest more alterations, and try to make it more fast-paced... of course there's a hardware limitation as well here, but I saw some shmup once on MSX that ran really fast and smooth (I think it's the game called Pleasure Hearts... which I never saw for sale, only being demoed, but that's besides the point, I guess).

Not many ppl here are .. actually I can't even name one who does, except Jetsoft perhaps.. who's more into anime/fantasy than sci-fi tho ..

well, another point is that I don't know much about the technical sides of MSX. I can maybe draw/design something (tbh that depends a lot on expectations), but then I'd use something like desiplus, and someone else would have to change that in something usable (actually I'd prefer to use Windows programs).

uhm, I did some "sprites" for a Java game, and I draw sometimes a comic for fun (cartoon-style, not serious), but an epic battle with spaceships? hm, that'd be hard :/

The idea we had was INDEAD to show this brain (heart actually) which you still see pumping...
Then out of this heart little roots grow rapidly, and Spacemanbow revives ITSELF !!

Id say SUB BOSS, dont reveal the true evil in the beginning of the game

I changed the bullets, the missiles (now there are 2 types of missilles), the type of weapons, and the enemies. I havent changed the main characters ship. (because it has to be the same one as in spacemanbow1.

Spacemanbow means Space Sun Fish.
We had an idea for a name for the sequel.
Spacemanbow 2
Sun of Oblivion (son of oblivion)
(since you are the son of Kliever, the hero from spacemanbow 1, and the evil monster is a SunFish)

We are working on it on a daily basis, and the project WILL FINISH, this is 100% certain.
Spacemanbow 2 is coming.
It just requires a tremendous amount of time, and the release date is planned in the end of 2006.
So you might see the updates in Nijmegen, but we have not planned to have a booth yet.
Samor, if I may ask a personal question.
You saw the work, and I see that you take us seriously.

Does this imply that if you WOULD be, that you would be willing to give us a helping hand?
And if so, are there other strong qualities you have?

Windows is fine. Photoshop images are fine. Even sketches on paper can be scanned and converted to Msx format. No biggie
