Actually Kyokugen is the 2nd part and Pleasure Hearts is the third part of the same saga by MKai.

Pleasure Hearts came with +PCM, a piece of hardware for the sound effects of the game. But it was sold quickly so the only games which arrived to Spain via Saver did not come with it.

Kyokugen is vertical shoot'em up while Pleasure Hearts is horizontal. And it adds support for turboR (or at least MSX2+) if I remember it well. The game was smoother then or added some stuff... it was time ago, I don't remember it that well.

Yes, it's a must have, but now is nearly impossible to find it

I only have a demo here (it's a demo because when you finish 1st level, game is over) and there is no distributors for this game. Also, M-KAI as far as I know, doesn't exist now.

The box was very big... anyone knows how to create the +PCM? It would be cool to be reproduced...

Did you ask Ikeda or other people from Japan? Maybe people from there can get it for you!

I should have the demo version somewhere as diskimages. Does anybody know the state (P.D/Freeware) of that demo ? I think it might be nice to put it up if folks are interested and if it's allowed.
Which might lead to more folks wanting the game. ;-)

I faintly remember that M-Kai actually hadn't liked Kyokugen to be distributed outside Japan. They had become far more skilled after the release of Kyokugen and they thought Kyokugen would give buyers the wrong impression about M-Kai. Or something like that. However, Kyokugen was released in Europe in the end and therefore they refused a distribution of Pleasure Hearts outside Japan. I forgot about the details (it's about six years ago now)...
