Is the MSX community stupid? Bidding on these things so early in the day drives the price up - Bid late - keep the price down!!

I've placed a bid and I won't bid anymore.
To bid means "to put the maximum price you are prepared to pay".
But some people seem not to understand what's an auction and deceive themselves.

Others use a sniper tool to overbid at the last seconds, so take your choice of weapon.

If the bidding goes well, according my little spreadsheet at last three auctions ended above 100 Euro (average stands at 196,00 euro - one was 130, the other went above the 200 limit) - and that is to rich for my blood (-> the amounts are for Badlands.)

Do the people bidding have a LD player, and a PX7. Indeed does anyone have a PX7, complete with a LD700 or LD7000?

If people do that early on in the auction it drives the price up, so everyone pays more at the end of the day! If you leave it to the last moments of the auction the price isnt driven up.

spl : it should be possible if I take a look at the Laser disc games supported by Daphne ... The hard part is of course the dumping itself !

Yes, dumping is the hardest part.

Also, AFAIK there were another special games in video tapes, no? I remember Road Blaster which was very popular in Mega CD systems as Road Avenger.

Some of these disks are at a stupid price! Can the highest bidder actaully play them? I notice that some of them have BlueMSX/openMSX writters bidding, does this mean that we might see LD emulation on our emulators? LD images to download? That would be really cool
