I'm gathering information on every game that was programmed by Compile. I plan on creating Compile Shrine page when I have more freetime, maybe by the summer. The list of games I have are in japanese, but I managed to translate almost all of them into english. So far I started to gather every rom, dsk, cas, and iso off the internet so I can take some in-game screenshots. But I'm having some trouble finding certain games.
One those games is Birdie Try. I realize that this game was distributed on VHD + Tape, or at least that was what I read on Generation-MSX. Now VHD iirc is a laserdisc right?
Is it possible to play Birdie Try on an emulator if I just use the CAS image without the VHD? (and if anyone has the CAS of Birdie Try plz share ) |

VHD is not a laserdisk, is a Japanese video system which was made by VICTOR-JVC
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VHD
Also, some Data East games, like Road Blaster were only available on VHD. Curiously, Road Blaster arcade was Laser Disc.
Also, any MSX emulator can emulate nor Laser Disc nor VHD interfaces, so it's not possible to play with this games.

Okay, i guess I'll have to wait until bluemsx can support VHD.
If anyone has this game, Birdie Try, could you plz take some pictures of the VHD + box, and if possible some in-game screenshots?
I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
