on adress 0x80 the lenght of the command line can be read. The string itself starts on 0x82.

Ah, thank you, this helps!

D-Tail: IIRC #81 has " " that is between the actual executable name and the parameter.

"Use the source, Luke"...

From the DOS2 'Programming Environment' document (which can be found in this LZH archive):

Quote:

The whole of the command line, with the initial command removed, is stored in the default disk transfer area at address 0080h, with a length byte first and a terminating null (neither the null nor the length byte are included in the length). This string will have been upper-cased (when the environment string UPPER is ON) and will include any leading spaces typed to ensure CP/M compatibility.

Hi!
Is it possible to get the source code of the SymbOS? We would like to convert it to the ENTERPRISE 128 computer (it is very similar to CPC). Visit www.enterpriseforever.org

Some explanations here :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enterprise_128

And this excerpt :

"The Amstrad CPC 464 was released before the Enterprise, was less powerful, but included a monitor and cassette recorder, and retailed for less. The CPC in fact had a strikingly similar colour scheme to the Enterprise, and it may be that Amstrad boss Alan Sugar had seen a prototype."

Yeah, SymbOS VERY MULTIPLATFORM O.S. (Now, we need only a ZX Spectrum 128 port and we have a poker!)

Hi Povi, sorry for not answering yet, I will do it until the weekend. Does anyone know a site, where you can translate hungarian texts into english?
Btw, currently I have a strange bug in the general part of SymbOS (not MSX or CPC specific) as I improved some other things last week. I have to fix it first, before I can continue with the MSX port. But I already implemented the command line option for FDC selection
I also have to admit, that currently I have a lot other things to do, so my time for SymbOS is a little bit limitated at the moment, but hopefully this will change again soon.

Would be nice to see symbos on as many systems as possible. Is there still a enterprise scene?

As I know, active Enterprise users are only in Hungary. You can read about the latest developments here: http://www.enterpriseforever.org/viewtopic.php?t=91
(IDE interface prototype, CPC games conversions, Atomix game, PS/2 keyboard etc.)

I have made a new topic for SymbOS for Enterprise here: http://www.enterpriseforever.org/viewtopic.php?t=106

Perhaps this is a silly question, but is there a msx scene like this in japan? And if so have what have they made if anything of symbos?
