Norakomi, what are the exact RGB values of the available sprites colors, and what color is on which colornumber?

so I need a list like:

0: 0 0 0
4: 7 7 7
5: 7 7 0

etc.

I can try some, but it will be 16x16 max..

I pretty much stuck to the colors on every row,
but I did it in photoshop... just shifted parts,
did some extra shadows and cut parts away

Poke, I like it.... it looks a lot like the original ship bend upwards.

color 09: 0,0,0 black
color 10: 1,1,7 blue
color 11: 7,7,7 white
color 12: 3,3,3 dark grey

hm.. without trying yet, they look a bit un-OR-color-proof, or non-strategically planned .. but we'll see

Yeah I don't think you should change the ship too much, it's still space manbow
cool, well I have it as a psd (photoshop) file,
I don't know if it's any use to you, but feel free to do whatever you want with it

actually norakomi, it looks quite fancy with the orange toppart...
reminds me a little of the cover of dispoable hero

maybe it's a nice idea to have a light on your ship blinking only
when you approach a boss, as some warning sensor

hard one..

The only stuff I could come up with:



The pixels on top are just references, these are the only sense-making gradients I could produce with these settings..The grey shade was simply too dark, and doing the grey one on just one line is too much of a shock towards the rest of the white plane..
In general I wasn't awe-inspired by this palette.. too much like sweet candy The main issue is the placement of those colors, it could be way better if you could move around some of those colors..

oh, and for thou brave (without those reference pixels)! All my editors made years ago tend to export asm ^_^

maybe only grey lines where the wing and tail parts connect to the body...

by the way, what a bunch of weird fish those sunfish are !

so far I like norakomi's one the best,
it's different then the original, could be a worthy upgrade of the old one.

Poke's sprite has a minor error in the wide line in the centre, you can't have 4 colors on a row... black is the color of the background there, e.g. transparent.. so if you fly over something yellow, the backgroundyellow appears in the ship..

ah okay, I didn't take the color row thin into account....

if it's transparent it means it's a window hahaha
I'm sure it could be filled with dark grey or something

Ah well - more manbowish, than previous designs I think. But I didn't pay any attention to correctnet of the colors... put together in 10 minutes or so...
(Google will love us for all those manbow images ;P)

aurora, there you have it:

* you can't have yellow, red and any grey on a line, so the bottom one has to go

* you can't have white, black and any grey on a line, so the 2nd line with black under the cockpit has to go..

* you can't have blue, white and any grey on a line, so the whole cockpit itself is an utopia

* you can't have white and both greys on a line, so that 2nd-long line under the cockpit is a problem
