You might want to try Turbo Pascal 3.3f. AFAIK you can download it somewhere, maybe even here. You need a separate editor for it though. There's also a cross compiler for DOS. Maybe you can use dosbox to run it.

Yeah... I see a lot of potential for me to play around with C on Uzix... Not so much in the kernel development, but rather application dev'ing... I'd like to throw together a UzixWorks app suite paying homage to the old AppleWorks wp/ss/db app from the 80s. However, I'm just learning the system. Assembler & C isn't the problem, it's getting to know the MSX. I've downloaded & printed some really excellent docs and web pages. I'm fairly confident that due to my schedule, that I could have a beta for people to test sometime in the new year...

The MSX uses VT-52 terminal codes in both MSX-DOS and MSX-BASIC. The list here applies mostly to the MSX as well; just skip/forget about all the control codes that do colorizing and inverse video... |
