To start:
Looking back, I am sorry about the fact that I and Hans Cnossen never made any Moonsound versions of those bgm's we delivered for the game "The Lost World".
Although doing so initially might not have been "part of the deal", I still feel sorry for how things have went during ill communication and "unclearities".
I would like to sincerely apologize for this, on our behalf.
This message is not about causing fuss, it is only meant to notify and to plea for "the right thing to do".
As I currently do not have any contact-information of persons or organisations which concern this message, apart from possible "customers" who own aforemented game and happen to read this, I have to refrain to this fashion of communication.
I do not intend to criticise or damage anyone with this entry.
Coincidentally, I noticed that the game "The Lost World" is still distributed by Sunrise, which pleases me as well as it must do many (former) MSX-users and RPG-fans, as it surely, in my humble opinion, is a very interesting, well-produced game, and a production which I am still, and always will be, proud to have been a part of.
(Although they did manage to spell my name wrongly in the booklet, those Italian dweebs!

"Jhony Hassink" or something... Jeez!

)
However, I also discovered a few days ago, when a relatively recent copy came under my attention, that you (Sunrise/Umax?) have still forgotten to re-edit the music you accidently wrongly re-edited in the first place, which, actually, is the solemn thing that bothers me...
Simply put: I created the music for fm-pac only! Please, in your following re-issues of the game, select each .mbm file (in MoonBlaster v1.4) that I wrote for the game seperately, then press [SELECT] two times (so it will be fm-pac ONLY!) and save the song in USER-mode on the game disk(s). It's a procedure which should take less than 10 minutes.
Doing as such, you will disable the MSX-AUDIO in that particular files, which is a good idea, since I never (!) edited this soundchip while making the music. Anyone listening to music of my hand in the game, while having MSX-AUDIO plugged in will just hear the same instrument (bass1 I guess) on the highest volume on every available channel, which, as you might have noticed for yourselves (?), is not how the songs were delivered to you in the first place, and, really, not how they should sound at all.
In a way, this kind of ruins the total production of this otherwise very good game.
I know I'm not in the ideal position to bargain about issues as such, especially after this matter of time, since I (or we) have neglected to produce Moonsound versions of the songs. I'm aware of the fact that communication always was vague and has run weaker and vaguer over the years, but please, on behalf of any (future) players of the game and, frankly, Sunrise's reputation

, please, please, edit the songs in the way I described, for it will improve the experience of those playing the game, as it will my conscience...
Thank you for your time and attention, and good luck to you.
John Hassink
PS, I understand a guy named Frederik Boelens made Moonsound versions of the songs. I wonder what those versions sound like. I trust they are cool arrangements.
PS 2, If someone would be willing to make a nice patch to solve this problem, I will give you either a crate of beer, 2 joints (of really splendid Dutch hasjisj) or a good meal, depending on your predilection(s), and I mean it!
PS 3, I do not take a big issue out of this. Nothing of this all is meant personally in any way. I solely speak on behalf of me and with approvement of Hans Cnossen.
