Today, news about a new finished game for the MSXdev'06 contest

I've sent an e-mail to Snout, Wolf, Sonic, Latok, Bart, Rikusu and Sander.

Also used the 'classical way', the MRC submit news feature .... News accepted and I've got the following message :

"Your news post has been received...

Thank you for your submission!
We will check your submission in the next few hours. If it is interesting and relevant we will publish it soon.
We have 2 submissions waiting to be published."

If you want to read the news, see here :

Aha, are you implying there is a problem with them not posting it within 10 minutes?

No, the problem is that the 'submit news' feature does not work 100%, at least for me. See the reactions for these news :

Well, as you gave describing the way in which you submitted your news priority over writing about the news itself here in this forumpost, I think we do not really have to be ashamed that (full time employed by the MRC foundation as we are as we have no lives) we haven't posted about it yet.

Should I be happy I didn't receive that mail, or not? [Ponders] ...

No need to make it a news item anymore. It's 'spamed' all over MRC now.
What's the added value to post it in several threads?

Mars2000you: there is no problem at all with the MRC news submit feature. The way you submitted your news post right now, however, is disrespectful, clearly intended to pressurize the MRC team and can only be considered as spam. I think the reactions of MRC visitors like Samor and Huey show MRC visitors are annoyed by this as well. Until now, we've been kind on you posting several reactions and forum posts about the same topic, but now you simply went a step too far.

From now on, I request you to only use the MRC news submit feature. I can assure you it works perfecly fine. If the news is not posted within 48 hours, which is a reasonable timespan for a hobbyist website, feel free to contact the MRC crew about it via the 'contact us' feature on this website. Your usual "I post it anywhere I can on the MRC"-propaganda will no longer be tolerated and deleted as soon as we spot it. It's a shame, as the things you promote are really cool, but the way you are promoting it is about as uncool as it gets. If you can't live up to this simple request, I suggest you refrain from posting (news) on the MRC altogether.

Nice port/remake of Rush Hour

Acknowledgements in the documentation would have been fair though, people who've never heard of the game will probably think concept and level design was done by Imanok.

Wasn't Karoshi also planning to make a game of the original concept?

It looks as if the average gfx level if this year is FAR better than last year's.. last year there some games that just had 'gfx' for the sake of a game requiring gfx anyway, but this year the gfx almost seem to become a competition on their own!

Everyone is I'm porting it to CHIP8, and if it's finished, it could probably even work on Marcel's MSX Vision-8.
