The NMI signal of the Z80 is not connected to the cartridge port. In fact it is not connected to any bus at all. So having the cartridge alone is not sufficient. You must open the MSX and solder a switch to the NMI-pin of the Z80. Otherwise you don't have the necessary hardware to trigger the NMI.

Is the modification difficult?I think if all users did this it would be so much easier to test machine for faults.
Just a single switch and the software to do the tests.Actually it would be very good for guys that make lots of changes or fix faulty msx computers.
Has anyone from here ever done this?
