Submitted by Grauw, who wants to be able to preview a forum post before actually submitting it. I'm wondering if more people would like this option.

well, I'm not planning to make it mandatory.
Next to the Submit button, there will be a Preview button.

I think it will be a good idea to be able to preview your post before actually submitting it. That way you can decide if it's gonna look the way you wanted it so you can still correct it.

I don't think that the preview feature is really useful : if you don't like how your text appears in the forum, you can still edit it ! 8)

the advantage is that other users don't see your post until you're done editing.

If it's also an option to submit your posting without having to look at the preview first, I'm not against it. But to be honest, I don't see the benefit of it. The layout isn't important in the forum anyway. It's the content that counts and you can reread that too in your initial posting. I'm not convinced.

I have the tendencie to add a little bit more information to my post right after I submitted it. If someone reacts to my post while I'm editing, the reaction might be out of place.
Anyway, the direct submit button should always remain |

If you have that tendency, you might consider rethinking the posting you've just written, snout I think you should find your solution in solving that 'problem' more in changing your way to post things instead of programming an extra possibility for it to create that 'moment of peace'.....Because that's what you search. A moment of reflection....Well....I don't see the use of getting that moment of reflection in a preview mode....Just get yourself some coffee or something. That will make you reflective too |

I requested the feature, and I have the exact same problem. If your editbox would be page-sized, do realtime formatting and dumped the bold font, I might not need the preview function. However, since it's not like that, I definately need one ^_^. Currently I'm indeed adding loads of additional text after I submitted it, it's just not possible to get a good overview and do a proper proofread of the message in the edit box.

Hmm are there more people who would like a preview function? I'm probably not going to add it just for me and Grauw you know |

I would like an electronic cristal globe. How about that for a preview function?
