As I'm one of the lucky MRC webmasters visiting MadriSX this year, I'm wondering who already visited this fair. I'd like to hear what you think of MadriSX and uhm.. well.. use your imagination as usual  |

Well a nice meal between 13.00-14.00 hour approx. is my experience and crowded in the afternoon as concerns visitors

I have never been to that/any fair , but I wonder if anybody has already seen EMSXs
from Leonardo Padial, any user of a full clone of an MSX ?

EMSX??? I don't think anybody over here (holland) has ever heard anything about that.
I think Padial's stuff has a HUGE problem: NO INFORMATION & DOCUMENTATION

Hmmz, I think you should narrow that to "No info in English", because I'm sure that the MSX Community in Spain is up to date.

Well, I can't say I've seen informative spanish pages either. So either there is a hidden spanish MSX scene on the internet, or the info is really really scarce.
Also, documentation is really lacking. For instance on the Evolucion4 32-bits slotexpander. And the Slot generator that comes with it...
Even if there was spanish information available, it's still a big problem it's not available in english.

Well, maybe the HispaMSX Yahoogroup is a better place to find information about users of leonardo padial hardware.
BTW there is not link to this place from MRC ?!

I think a website and a newsgroup/mailinglist are not the same. Especially not when most -if not, all- messages on that mailinglist are not in English. MSX communities should join forces instead of remain (or become) closed groups limited by language of the ammount of members on a mailinglist imho.
How many people on this forum are from Spain? One or two of the posters maybe?

Well we cannot say that speaking in spanish is closing to comunication.
I am from france and sometimes I used to read forums in spanish as well.
Even though I conceed that speaking in french could be be a bit isolating ...

EMSX , I guess is new dev. from Leonardo padial .
I see no mention on his site over MMSX anymore it was a 32bits msx,
the EMSX is mentioned instead.
It is a "normal" Msx that fit into a PC, it is a bit expensive but you can get a full msx clone, of an MSX2 or 2+ depending on the cartridge option you take.
It is not a bad idea, and such a devlopement is good since it is very modular.( no more soldering to upgrade cpu for instance )

however... the modularity might affect compatibility (everyone getting different expansions)...
I'm looking forward to see the latest Spanish developments myself in MadriSX. |
