Did anyone see a non-japanese version of this game? For example a manual in english?
I'm looking for it, for my collection, but I never saw it, so I don't know if it even exists.

Anyone?

according to bifi's site and Passion MSX there should be an european version...

But, I've never seen a photo or something else of it. Only with japanese text.

Those lists also list that Frogger, Magical tree, Cabbage Patch Kids and Pippols should have European releases which is in my opinion also incorrect. Those games might have been imported fo Europe, but they do not have actual European release. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Also A1-spirit should have a european release according to those lists... Is that correct?

In Europe and Japan the artwork for those games is very different. That's why I would call it different releases. Both have the same Product id. I think the software is exacty the same (in most cases)
For example Athletic land:

This is the case for most early konami games.

Is this list correct?

Does anyone have pictures from the boxes of the Sony HBJ-xxx releases?? Never heard of those. And are those Sharp-Epcom releases Brazilian bootlegs or legitimate releases? And does anyone have pictures of those?

The HBJ ones are mostly just listed in the Sony Catalog. I have a few Konami's with stickers on them with the Sony product code.

All Brazillian releases are bootlegs, because of the import regulations at that time. Some pictures are available, and when they are, they are mostly included on the GenMSX pages.

In Brazil.
It was illegal to import things at that time.
There was a protective law restricting imports, this was probably one of the reasons for the MSX being marketed as a "deluxe" video-game.

Philips had trouble importing their own stuff for the Odyssey.
There was no law against software that wasn't registered in Brazil (ie: not protected by Brazilian laws). In the past it was similar to some places in Asia that don't deal with European laws.

Also America and some other places find some difficulties to understand the concept of *brand new* stuff (illegal to re-sell or rent stuff like books and CD's) and intellectual property rights. Their will talk about TV and VCR amount the first buy "law" , forgetting Cinema and other medias.

Now, this changed.
Also it is illegal to sell stuff that is not a localized version [ie: not Portuguese Texts or manual]. For this reason most of the old Capcom and S.N.K. stuff was localized for the South America audience.
