Come on. Even 500 USD is way to expensive... But if you find someone who wants to buy it: good for you...

It is always good to have some healthy competiton on the markets. It is good for customers.

I'm thinking of buying a Yamaha CX5M too, and then I will put up a page in the web (URL: http://cheaper.yamaha-cx5m.com/).
There I will be selling my CX5M gear for $1150.00 us, and for the heck of it: I will ship wordwide for FREE!

I will also inform there that _buyers should really consider twice_ for this opportunity.

yamahacx5mguy: Sorry for stealing your clients.

yamahacx5mguy: Perhaps you are right that there are collectors out there who are prepared to pay such prices for your CX5M, but personally I sincerely doubt it. If you manage to pull it off: good for you! I guess it makes both you and the buyer happy. People would not have suspected some Konami games to go for the prices as high as some go either. However, to most MSX users and less-perfectionist collectors you are asking a rediculously high price and in that light the reactions in this thread are more than understandable.

Your extra forum thread here and nigh empty cx5m portal also give the impression that you're trying to improve your pagerank just to 'sucker' someone into buying your system and certainly do not make the average MSX user feel more comfortable.

Last but not least I noticed you posted an MRC banner (to others reading: available here!- feel free to post it on your site!) on your site. This is appreciated, but we're most certainly not a sponsor of your site and I don't feel comfortable with you listing MRC as one of your sponsors.

I think he's meaning to sell the keyboard alone for 500 USD and the printer for 375 USD. The price of the cx5m is still 1200 USD
I wish him the best of luck (I guess he's gonna need it )
Perhaps yamahacx5mguy should come to one of the MSX fairs and see what kind of prices MSXs (and peripherals) change owner there.

Yep, the prices have not been lowered and should be considered laughable. And we have proven that the serial number is not even 'low'. (But who cares.)

Anyway, have fun.

Indeed, I don't like it too.
yamahacx5mguy, MRC is not your sponsor, and I personally don't want you to present our team in this way.
Why not to put on your site a direct link to this forum thread, ah ?

For all we know, that serial number is the highest we have ever seen So it could actually be the very last machine coming from the factory

very well I will ask mrc then to please remove this and all all threads related to my website and prevent further links from your site in the future from linking to any of my domains
as I placed your link there as common courtesy as your site's members had posted the links to my site it was done as common web courtesy
while i had inquired at your pricing for you sponsor links (with no response mind you) I am sorry you feel a free link provided to you is such a disservice folks for what its worth any outside links I place on any of my websites are always labeled as "sponsors" paid or free
also would just like to state The invite for posting pics was just my lack of knowing your forum here was photocapable
so please email me to confirm your removal of the threads and I will Immediately remove the sponsor link as it seems that I honestly dont want a community of haters or "your team" as you call it in my friendly community (in my world computer old timers are friendly courteous and sharing)

it is not my place to have to give definitions(common place ones in the web world) to you for the term sponsors but it seems I needed to here

last let me also point out while a quiet member in your group I didnt place my link in your forum one of your "guru's" did so in short
so I ask MRC owner please remove this thread any any references to yamaha-cx5m.com and we'll all be fine
sorry but its your call

and: threads are never just erased. It has happened only a few times in the past that threads were totally wiped, in such cases the threads contained really rude/offensive name calling or even worse. Since a few years, this hasn't happened anymore, afaik.

I have no problems with opinions, honesty, even the guy who wants to list his equipment for competition in Fun or realistically none of that bothers me
what just bothered me is the fact that folks saying that mrc does not sponsor my site while yet you provide a "link to us" are for just that purpose
and I have been calling any outside link on any webpage I have owned,Designed for clients or ever pubished a "sponsor link" since 1993 that I have been an internet presence and it is a common term used globally on websites

like i stated I never placed my sites link here!!
I never called any attention to it or my self

it is saddening that a community has such strange morals
and a certain rudeness about it by some

yamahacx5m: Most likely your sponsorship request was deleted by our spamfilter, but I can tell you right here, right now that MRC doesn't do site sponsorships. Sponsoring our own website and paying the hosting bills/challenge prizes is hard enough as it is already.

No matter what your personal definition is, the (Cambridge) dictionary defines 'sponsor' as to support (a person, organization, or activity) by giving money, encouragement, or other help. Oxford's compact dictionary defines it as a person or organization that pays for or contributes to the costs of a sporting or artistic event or a radio or television programme in return for advertising. 2 a person who pledges an amount of money to a charity after another person has participated in a fund-raising event. 3 a person who introduces and supports a proposal for legislation. 4 a person taking official responsibility for the actions of another. 5 a godparent at a child’s baptism..

Now, clearly, neither of these options are the case here. Mentioning MRC as one of the sponsors on your website implies that there is a relation between the MRC and your website that simply isn't there. We don't support you financially, we don't give your site (or any other for that matter) our 'seal of approval', we only takke responsibility for our own actions and we certainly aren't your godparents ^_^. I don't have any problem to you linking to MRC whatsoever, but I do object to the fact that you list MRC as one of your sponsors.

Last but not least, although I can imagine that the feelings expressed in this thread don't have a positive effect on your mood, I see no reason to moderate or remove this thread from our forum.

well then this is where we have a problem then
as I will not change my internet termanology of the term sponsor
nor argue Oxford's compact dictionary defines it as a person or organization that pays for or contributes to the costs of a sporting or artistic event or a radio or television programme in return for advertising. (even when provided for free)

so once again it is simple i have to bite my tongue here
I will go remove your references completely
so if you all want to keep on freely promoting my site hey so be it
but remember please while some may have opinions of my high priced unused computer for sale its just that your opinion
there's nothing wrong with the unused item being advertised for how ever much I want for it(I do live in a Free country)

Xan0ri
please state to me what is wrong with my UnUsed system?
I dont have any problems with competition(do you have an unused one to compete with?)
but please explain your meaning here "I will also inform there that _buyers should really consider twice_ for this opportunity."
for me so i may take it the correct way intended

last I'd like to clear some other bad air
Pagerank???first off i dont give much to the "pagerank" concept of google
it does nothing for me my 1200 plus domains dont depend on it for anything they all get fair traffic and thier products all seem to sell sufficiently
as far as seeking more traffic from here please let me remind everyone I never started this thread about my site.
I never plugged for traffic nor pageviews
I only honestly started a duplicate thread and that was done by accident/stupidity
couldnt find the response link was on a different computer didnt realize i wasnt logged in
and couldnt respond a simple error in starting a new topic

but in scheme of seo the second thread wont be catipulting me into any pagerank or pageview frenzies

so in short i am sorry for offering a free link back in my termanology of "sponsor"
and unfortunately it will take a bit of smoothing over time from mrc community before i feel like offering the link again (even if i was to clearly state that your not any affiliate of mine) but why should i at this time?
