Sorry for the huge load of news in such a short timespan, lads! If you lost track of all the news on the frontpage maybe you should check the news archive to make sure you did not miss out on any MSX news. I'm still not in the position to spend as much time on the MRC as I used to, so expect the occasional newsflood in the future. Anyone willing to help out on content management on the MRC (or performing any other MRC crew member duties): please check here. Thanks!
btw, we did achieve 17 news posts in one day once before ^_^

How about automatically distributing the news in their respective categories, with 1 extra category called "10 most recent newsposts" or smth? |

The problem is not the amount of news, but the amount of content managers and the respective spare time they have to work on harvesting news. Due to lack of content managers/time the occasional newsflood is inevitable. That said, a solution to keep news on the frontpage for a minimum amount of time is already being worked on. The real (or better) solution would still be if some people decided to help out and join the MRC crew - or at least to submit news every now and then. |

When msxdev '07 is over, I might have some spare time to help out.
...Unless if it would disqualify my entry for the MRC challenge. Would be a pity... |

DemonSeed: don't worry about the MRC Challenge entry. MRC team members can enter, only members of the jury can't So just let us know when you'd like to join in and start helping out! Of course, you will have to deal with Rikusu being a fellow team-member ^_^. |

Can you tell me the "jobdescription"? I am almost every day on MRC and have been a modder eter before here, but lack of time (working on Bombaman, almost "rebuilding" my house and a job with lots of extra hours) forced me to quit at that time. But those days are over and maybe I can help out as well. And ofcourse I want my cute penguin back . |

There are actually three major requirements to be an active MRC newsposter: - You hunt news like a madman, one site after another, one forum after another, if there's MSX news: post it!
- Good English writing skills
- We like to maintain a certain textual quality and decent bit of journalism skills, simply said: there should be no notable difference between the -currently- main writers and you.
Everyone who has these skills may apply.. |

@Wolf: Me too, busy at the moment with other MSX-stuff at the moment (told you last week). But interested, but you have to dump this Rikusu guy. He's a real pain in the ass!

Alright, I'll say it then. Rikusu: you're fired!
Seriously: it'd be great to have more news posters! I myself am pretty retarded to look for excuses as to why not search & post news, let alone translate news. I've done my share in the past though, and I'm eager to continue working on that. But for the moment, there's simply no chance :-\ |
