Redid most of the pentaro smileys yesterday. Cleaned up the GFX, and tried to make them look more at what they should represent. Some looked to much alike. Also colors are brightened up a little.

Sander, you forgot to tell about the new Music icon, the updated 'Pennies' next to menu blocks (Resources, Contacts, User menu etc.) and uhm... uhm..

hey snout... when will you mrc be hosted on another server? today isn't the first day of getting a nice php message that your server has too many connection... your mysql server that is...

We'll switch to another server as soon as we can afford one that is clearly better on all fronts than our current host. A year ago we were hosted for free on a crummy mailserver that could not have handled a single day of the MRC as it is today. Our website traffic increased a lot more than expected and already we paid quite a lot of money for web hosting (see also another thread).

We had only little problems with our webhost so far, and most of them were solved pretty quickly (even deep at night). The host is aware of the MySQL connection problems and working on it. This is one of the first things that could not be fixed within a few hours (one of the other things was the embarassing pre-Bussum-crash). We have no reasons not to give our current host the benefit of the doubt and give him the time to analyze and then fix this problem.

of course you can give them the benefit of the doubt. but your traffic will only grow... but hey, you already said you'll use another server if affordable.

Well, DarQ. You can always use the Donate button, and send some bucks in. If it's enough to switch hosts, we'll do it. How about it?

Well I spend lotsa money on get my sites hosted but it's something I have learned to accept. so be it.

We're not dedicated (yet), and we all want to keep this site ad-free for as long as possible. Had a sponsor deal in the past, turned out to be quite a sucky one

/me did the emulation icon again. Wasn't happy with the old one. See it as the return of the MSX logo

New hosting has been setup. Later tonight (30/10) we'll fix everything. New host is major host @ AMS-IX. No resellers in between anymore. Hope this will work out better. More news to follow.
