Playing samples on PSG is not more difficult than MSX-AUDIO, MSX-MUSIC or even turboR PCM! All of them require the programmer to send raw data to the chip at the correct intervals.

@GuyveR800
Yup And here´s also my first question
I´ve just read some docs about the PSG (I told you I never coded on the MSX before ) and just wanted to have some informations confirmed please :
PSG has three channels ...
Port A0, A1 and A2 ... correct ?
A0 is register select
A1 is data write and A2 data read .... correct ?
The PSG got 16 registers (0 to 15 while 14 and 15 are used for Joystick and Cassette) ... correct ?
So if I want to write to the PSG I would do :
OUT (0A0h),x for selecting the register and ...
OUT (0A1h),x for sending data .... correct ???
cheers ..... RetroMan

Since MSX-Music, MSX-audio and PCM (turboR) are fully part of the MSX standard they are 'the real thing' as well.
However, wouldn't it be cool to boot your MSX2, grab a 300MB WAV (or something) on a harddisk and say to your friends: "listen! hardware from the eighties!" mwuahahahaha |

I know But the problem is, I don´t have any of it and currently I cannot afford it as well .... so I cannot access it one THE REAL THING (my MSX´s)

Sure, but I don´t have an Sunrise IDE or other HD Cart, so I have to stick to floppies here |
