Here we are again, with the next round of the megapoll in which we are going to find out which is the Best MSX demo ever. Last round, we had a "too close to call"-situation, which means that out of the 48 contestans 26 instead of 24 have moved on to the fourth round. Again, it showed that every single vote counts and with the amount of entries narrowing down each round the stakes are getting higher and higher.

Below is a list of 13 pairs. Your job is to divide three points between each pair. So with the pair

the following scores are valid:

3 - 0 ;option A | option B
2 - 1 ;option A | option B
1 - 2 ;option A | option B
0 - 3 ;option A | option B

These are the only valid scores you can cast. Mixing pairs with others is not allowed, only non-negative integers are allowed and the sum of points divided each pair HAS to be 3 points. You will have to make this decision each pair, until you completed the entire list. Mixing pairs with others is not allowed. Only completely valid submissions will be counted.

Hmm missing actually a few favourites but then I noticed the whole voting thing just today.

Why is no one using the format as described, actually? (With the semicolons, spaces, etc.)

Because no one cares. In fact, I even don't type the hyphen, 2x space is far more convenient than 1 hyphen and 1 space!

Also the vote sheet at the top of this thread is not of the form

;option A | option B

so voters would have to replace the dashes between options with vertical bar symbols as well.
I like the format

Option A - 2 | 1 - Option B
Long option C - 0 | 3 - Even longer option D

better, but as few people will actually read all the sheets, ease of voting should prevail over aesthetics.

Even when reading these votesheets, I think they're quite clear as they are now! Usually I quote someone, remove the quote tags and replace the scores with my own. Easy as that!
