Well, I got this thing... I've been messing with it every night, but to avail, I can't figure it out. I don't want to program music in BASIC. As a standard midi-module...well... i have better with my computer/keyboard collection. I would like to sell it to a trust worthy MSX-member...but I am also considering trading for other goodies. A GP2X sounds great for emulator/tracking... would any one be down for that or something else?

eh... MML. I can't stomach that.
I've tried messing with it some more, but Its just not practicle for me.

I would love to, if I could find a way to track on it easier than using MML with some kind of converter. What would be awesome... implementing sound expansion a-la Konami

Consider: Vortex Tracker II
It's good for any 8 bit tone generator.
Moreover: Do not underestimate the powers of MSX!
It's a system that has inspired/spawned a lot of talented and dedicated people.
A tradionally good working interrupt; combining sound/gfx.
Its user-friendlyness is legendary; it's versatile but always comprehensible to anyone.
There are some really awesome MSX soundchips, but here I'll end my plea. |
