.HES files are rips of music/sfx from TurboGrafx/PCE games (same concept as sid or spc rips). Since this sound chip is very similar to the SCC I wonder if these files could be replayed in realtime on the MSX. Perhaps with a Z80 at high(er) speed or on the turboR? The Hu6280-native sound player routine and a few related hardware aspects would have to be emulated, but although it is a 7MHz CPU the sound routine surely would only use a small percentage of that time.
Alternatively, a PC program could be made to load an .HES and do all the emulation work, then spit out some other music file format that could be played easily on MSX.
