We have a screen split that on the top enable the sprite visualization and on the bottom disable sprites.
If, during those split a vdp command is in execution does the vdp get crazy?
I'm thinking to use this tech to improve command speed, but now i'm unable to test on real msx2.Anyone have already tryed this?

Yes, I have, it worked just fine for me. The only thing I found to mess up VDP commands is a mode change, which I suppose makes sense... |

thx, ro & sonic (watch your post counter, who will be the winner? ;-) ). What i'm trying to get is to combine the sprite visualization + a bit of speed up in vdp commands. If you say it can work, i will definitely try it....
If the vdp is somewhat more quicker about 20% with sprites off i assume i can get a speed up of approx 10% (half frame with sprites on then half with sprites off) right?
