The MSX Technical Handbook (page 317 and 318) shows the international and japanese default fonts. I think you can safely assume, that 95% of all MSX models will implement one of these.
The font for C-BIOS is an exception. It folows the international version of the default font, but uses a different typeface: link |

Oh well; so as expected, the block drawing chars are not present in both character sets, the intersection charset seems pretty basic and small 
Then, as Pitpan says, the best solution is waste some bytes redefining the chars needed. |

It seems that all what i can use are chars from 11h to 1Ch.. not a lot but at least something
